Anyone ever use the Mr. gasket co. Micro Electric fuel pump on a Mercury carb motor? They have two 2-4PSI and 4-7 PSI.

80gals per hour min volume, or she will lean over.
i use a carter black fuel pump at 6psi and 3/8th hose for a omce 3.2ltr carb engine making 320hp
Mr. Gasket pumps from the auto parts stores are POS , I went thru 3 on my jeep in a matter of weeks. Go with Carter , Holley , or Weldon for something that will last
you want to stay away from pulse pumps
not enough volume as fred indicated
blade slingers work the best for low pressure and high volume
mercury uses the holley red pump for hp carb motors
this pump is good up to 8,000 rpm
after that,,, motor needs more volume
the weldon is the pump of choice that racers use for high output volume
with a cosistant pressure
most high volume pumps fluxuate the pressure too much as the regulator
opens and closes,,,,weldon has a more steady low pressure adjustment
also they are made for aviation and marine applications
so last longer than automotive pumps

Thanks for the info, I figured as much. I bought a new Holley last week. It will be here Tuesday.
sorry to go off topic but how do you get your display pictures?
I always found the holly's problematic the magnets seemed to come loose off the body. The Weldons are horrendously expensive. I now use Carters the oldest of which is 4 years old.
did keep a small small ball peen on hand to wake them holleys up.
i've only ever had one carter puel pumpo fail on me and thats it! it ended up being because the guy that built my fuel tank didnt clean it out before he gave it too me i rekon i picked up a gallon of capacity once i got all the crap out of it!
