skoontz is right about the wider pad. i have had 2 of these g w invaders (still have one). the older ones 1965 to early 1970's had a metal tag on each side of the motor splash well that was riveted on. there would be 2 small holes on each side. the newer ones and the copies had decals. when my kids were young i had a 9.9 rude on it, even with 2 small adults it planed off and ran pretty good. now i have a 35 merc and it runs about 45 mph maybe a little over that. they were made in a glorified pole barn in sharpsville, in. they also made some 14 footers and a few tunnel hulls in 15 ft. back in the day the straight six mercs on the 14 footers really flew
